Kolkata Classics in association with Swar Sangam presented two concerts only for school children at Kala Mandir Kolkata.

Kolkata Classics in assoc with Swar Sangam sponsored several concerts in the Hills or Himalayas. Marla Berg, Professor at Akron University and Jennifer Heemstra performed operatic arias, art song and show tunes for students and teachers. For most this was their first time ever hearing such kind of music.

Performing for an exceptional crowd of young learners at Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning will never be forgotten. A BIG thank you to Ms. Julia Bailey, Mrs. Hingorani, Mrs Patjoshi, Mrs. Lorraine Mirza, Mr. Mohd Asim Ali, Mrs Rohit Gurung & Mr. PJS Cheema for coordinating this extraordinary trip. Chanda VanderHart and Jennifer Heemstra had a great concert at South City international school with their students and some wonderful young listeners from Premasree, New Light Kolkata & Saint Paul’s Refugee Home. This series of concerts kicked off the beginning of Kolkata Classics Season 2!

Thank you St Teresa’s Secondary School for hosting us again. Over 300 children attended including members of the NGOs Khelo Rugby and Friends of Calcutta.
